ArkieBass ("we," "us") provides tournament management tools for bass fishing clubs at arkiebass.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the Service, we don't sell it, and we don't show ads.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes โ we cannot see or recover your actual password.
- Club data: information your club's admin enters, such as club name, roster names, tournament schedules, boat pairings, and weigh-in results (fish counts and weights).
- Technical basics: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect payment card information. We do not use analytics trackers or advertising cookies.
How We Use Information
- To operate the Service: signing you in, showing your club's rosters, pairings, results, and standings.
- To communicate with you about your account (for example, password resets or important service notices).
- To keep the Service secure and diagnose problems.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. Roster names and results are visible to members of your own club only; the site owner can access club data for support and platform administration.
Cookies
We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. It contains no personal information and expires automatically. Blocking it will prevent sign-in from working.
Data Storage and Security
Data is stored in a database on servers operated by our hosting provider (DreamHost) in the United States. We use HTTPS encryption for all traffic, hashed passwords, and parameterized database queries. Backups are taken regularly. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate for a service of this kind, and we will notify affected users of any data breach as required by applicable law, including the Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act.
Your Choices
- Access and correction: most of your information is visible and editable within the Service by you or your club admin.
- Deletion: to delete your account or your club's data entirely, contact us at the address below and we will remove it within a reasonable time. Note that roster entries (names typed in by a club admin) are controlled by that club's admin.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts may only be created by users 13 or older. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and note the change on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
